Artist's Note: I'm so glad you all enjoy this stamp so much, but could you please check out the rest of my gallery? You might like what you find! Thanks!
I remember a time when I would play video games, read comic books, and watch movies like Star Wars or The Matrix and get ridiculed for it. Now it seems like everyone embraces these things. Did the (fingerquotes) "cool" people have some sort of meeting and secretly admit to themselves that we geeks are the cool ones?
Perhaps they realize that the geeks rule the world with our superior gaming skills, tech-support abilities, and our wicked-sexy pocket protectors.
if you've proudly been a geek for as long as you can remember. Or just if you like/support the idea. Let me know if you use it too, so I can check it out on your page!
The Lord of the Rings and the movies' "hunky" actors did a lot toward making "geek" "cool", methinks. Another factor could be location: different things are popular in different places, in life or on the internet.
You've made me think and made a clever stamp. Congrats.

Love the stamp and your artists comments were exquisitely thought out, well written and on point. I can remember being ridiculed in high school for liking all the stuff that was considered nerdy then, but is awesome now.
I have been a geek for as long as I can remember and now at my age I can say that Im damn proud of it.
I would play Game Boy during recess (the gray brick, as it were) and get called a fag for it. Now people consider me rediculously cool for having a special edition Triforce DS Lite. Funny how things have changed.
As for my artist comments, that really is how I talk. Esoteric-style humor + absurd existentialism = me.

Hoho, this stamp is fantastic! I remember the days of playing pokemon in the school yard, and all of the other kids staring at us when my Starmie did BUBBLE BLAST!, and PWNED my friend's Butterfree.. Gah, it's also fairly irritating how the "cool" kids now think that they invented geek, when its been around since the dawn of the SNES. ><

Same here. Before we knew what the gameshark was, me and my friends practically ran a Poke' black market either selling our rare pokemon or raising other people's. I once made ten bucks by selling someone my Kangaskhan.
